Dr James Brady
DDS, MD, MSc, BSc, FRCD(C)Biography
Originally from PEI, James grew up on a small apple farm before heading to Acadia for his undergraduate BSc then on to Halifax where he completed his DDS at Dalhousie in 2007. At the University of Western Ontario he took the GPR program before returning to Dalhousie for the six year MD MSc in OMFS, graduating in 2014. With his wife and three small children he then traveled to Glasgow, Scotland to complete advanced training in trauma, and cleft lip and plate surgery. He presented on scar revision therapy at the Scottish Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Annual meeting in 2014 taking home the prize for best presentation.
After his fellowship James returned to join our group and has been fully engaged in a wide scope of practice including Dentoalveolar, Trauma, Orthognathic, Pathology, and TMJ surgery. James is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentist, he is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Halifax County Dental Society, and is registered with the General Medial Council in the UK.He also has several teaching commitments at Dalhousie Dental School where he is part-time faculty in the OMFS department.
Interests outside of OMF
Spending time with my wife and three children, playing hockey, exercising, riding my bike, fishing.
